Bossard began her professional career as a commercial seafood expert at the age of 1999, after she began working aboard the F/V Sunset, a 65' halibut-schooner, which has become a into a salmon tender for Murat Aritan. She has been who has been a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard has been the wife of Aritan and has joined their forces in order to claim their respective industries. Both are advocates of conservation and profiting from natural resources that are used in the seafood industry. In 2007, now a mother to two kids Bella aged 3 and Andre 1 Bossard then returning to living in Philadelphia established a direct wholesale distribution of seafood named Otolith. Its name is a sweet reminder of her intimate fish biology knowledge and her husband's long connection in the seafood industry often keeping them from each other for 5 months or more when they are focused on their economic and environmental objectives that are a reflection of their individuality and commitment to their community wherever they live. Bossard along with their son Andre and Isabella, her daughter Isabella will return back to Southeast Alaska every summer as deckhands during the salmon season.
